Electric WagonR: Will run on a charge 200 km



Maruti Suzuki WagonR EV will be one of the cheapest electric cars in the country. In the year 2020, the price of Electric WagonR, which is to be launched in India, can be less than Rs. 7 lakhs. According to the reports, under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme, the subsidy given to all electric and hybrid vehicles for the cost of Rs. 7 lakhs of Electric WagonR.
On the basis of existing subsidy structure, after all subsidy, its on-road price should be around 7.5 lakh rupees. However, it may change its price at the launch time after FAME 2 in the near future. According to the current structure, Electric WagonR can get subsidy up to 1.24 lakh to 1.38 lakh rupees.

Range of more than 200 kilometers
Initially there was a possibility that Electric WagonR will be priced at around Rs. 10 lakhs. Now due to a decrease of 25% in price and a range of more than 200km on charging once, the electric wagons will promote electric vehicles in the country. Also, this car will install a benchmark.
