Mercedes-Benz India is going to launch a more humble version of its G-Class in India, the G 350D, which will offer entry level for the premium SUV. We have learned in OVERDRIVE that Mercedes India will launch the G 350D in November this year. The company's dealership has not yet started booking which is expected to start in the coming months. In the case of positioning, the G 350 S will be above GLS SUV, worth Rs 1.08 crores, on-road.
The Mercedes-Benz G 350D is powered by six-cylinder diesel which makes 286PS and has claimed between 0,200rpm and 600nm peak torque with a maximum between 0,200rpm and 0-100kmph. Speed of 199 km / h.
In addition, the new transfer case is directly for 9G-Tronic automatic, which is designed to send 40 percent of the drive torque to the front axle and 60 percent rear axle.
Mercedes has mentioned that the emission level of the Om 656 engine is below the limit set by Euro 6D, which is basically Euro 6 criteria for clean diesel engines. It has been achieved with the use of additional selective catalytic deficiency (SCR) converter with ammonia slip catalyst (ASC) in GLE drain path. SCR catalyst (selective catalytic deficiency) reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) in exhaust gas.

In relation to the suspension, the components of the double-privileged front suspension are applied directly on the stair-type frame without the sub-type. The attachment points of the less privileged on the frame in the Z-direction are kept as high as possible. Merc claims that this setup is useful for both on-off-road driving

The G 350D leather seat that is offered in international markets comes with the instrument panel covered in Arturo Man-Made Leather, and Open Por Wood. Apart from this, the optional interior plus the G 350D is available with diamond quilts.
